The author throws stuff at the characters that the character don't particularly like, making the authors the antagonists. But they're also kinda the fairy godmother because they (usually) fix everything in the end? Via character arcs and a sword in the right place or a brilliant plan or something. *shrugs*<br /><br />Good luck with figuring Crossfire out.
